Poetry: Seasons of Life
Newly buds of spring are bursting free
The seasons of life begin their journey
Savoring the world with mellow joy
Motley acquaintances, ahoy!
Salad days are delightfully ambled
Uncertainties...ordinary challenges
Summer is smugly satisfactory
Preparing for a new reality
Gayness of autumn chill
Reflects the successes we deal
Pleasant moments to acquire
Before we pen our memoirs
Winter’s frost comes to beset
The seasons of life we have led
Snowflakes of death
Soon take our breaths
But our souls won’t go a-withering
Like the blooms in end of spring
They’re unfadable like the amaranth
In its aura of endless charm
